Promo of the first project developed by the Godmother Foundation, in collaboration with South African organization Youth Media Movement. Focused on the Cape Town township of Mitchell´s Plain, its aim is to empower this marginalized community through media access and training. In January 2009, 25 local teenagers, half of them students of local high schools and half of them troubled drop outs, will be involved in a TV production and documentary training. The results of the kids’ work will be part of “Plain Talk”, a talk show produced by the very members of the community, to be broadcasted on the Cape Town Community TV. The show will also be webcasted on a dedicated Internet site, realized by a group of 5 teenagers who will follow an additional course in webdesign.
